Effective date: 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data AI Security Info (“we”) collects through aisecurityinfo.com and our free webinars, why, and what you can do about it. AI Security Info is run by Patrick Dasoberi in Accra, Ghana.
1. What we collect
We collect only what you give us, plus the minimum technical data needed to run a secure website.
| When you… | We collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Subscribe to the newsletter | Email address | To send new articles and webinar invitations |
| Register for a webinar | Name, email address, role | To send the joining link, reminders and the replay |
| Use the contact form | Name, email address, topic, message | To reply to you |
| Visit any page | IP address, browser type, pages requested (server logs) | To keep the site secure and working |
We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or use tracking cookies. We do not knowingly collect special categories of data such as health information.
2. Our legal bases
- Consent for the newsletter. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Performance of what you asked for when you register for a webinar or send us a message.
- Legitimate interests in keeping the website secure and reliable (server logs).
3. Who processes your data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose shown:
- Website hosting and security: Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages)
- Newsletter and webinar emails: [EMAIL PLATFORM]
- Webinar registration: [REGISTRATION PLATFORM]
- Contact form delivery: [FORM PROVIDER]
- Replay videos: YouTube, embedded in privacy-enhanced mode
Some of these providers store data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the provider’s contractual safeguards for international transfers.
4. Webinars and recordings
Webinars are recorded and published as free replays. Attendees join with cameras and microphones off. If you ask a question in the Q&A, it may be read out on the recording, without your surname unless you include it. Tell us if you would like a question removed from a replay.
5. How long we keep data
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
- Webinar registrations: up to 24 months after the session, so we can send the replay and future invitations, unless you unsubscribe sooner.
- Contact messages: up to 24 months.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security purposes.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws including Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023, Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019, South Africa’s POPIA and the EU/UK GDPR give you the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- object to or restrict how we use it
- withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@aisecurityinfo.com. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your data protection authority, such as the Data Protection Commission in Ghana.
7. Security
The site is a static website with no user accounts or database, which keeps the data we hold to a minimum. Data held by our providers is protected by their security controls, including encryption in transit.
8. Children
Our content and webinars are intended for professionals and are not directed at children under 16.
9. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above.
